End of January already… done and dusted! 😅
End of January already… done and dusted! 😅
That month went fast — almost too fast. It feels like we only just started… and poof, it’s gone. But what a busy start to the year it’s been.
Let’s talk about what’s been happening on the benches.
Instrument clusters — you all know these are our bread and butter.
LCD failures, backlighting issues, stepper motor drive faults, power supply problems — we’re seeing the full range and fixing them daily.
But it hasn’t just been clusters…
Transmission control modules and mechatronic systems have been rolling in hard.
These days, manufacturers are mounting them inside the transmission instead of externally. Great for reducing wiring… not so great for heat and vibration. That’s why we’re seeing more pressure sensor faults, speed sensor issues, and internal control failures.
Important reminder for shipping:
Please remove the valve body before sending modules in—except for DQ250 units, which are more difficult to separate. If you’re unsure, give us a call — we’re happy to help. Leaving valve bodies attached adds weight, increases shipping stress, and we’ve seen it cause damage down the line. Removing them helps protect your repair investment.
January set the pace — and we’re only just getting started.
Let’s keep rolling. 💪⚡
