VW TFT Digital Instrument Cluster – Graphics Chip Failure Repair

Another failed Volkswagen TFT Digital Instrument Cluster on the bench!

This cluster previously had its graphics processor reworked, but unfortunately the repair failed, and the display no longer operates correctly.

These are complex control modules, and a proper repair involves much more than simply heating or reflowing the graphics chip.

At Get Electronic, we can reliably repair and restore operation of these VW TFT instrument clusters. After completing the correct repairs, we fully bench-test the cluster and TFT display, verifying operation before it leaves our workshop.

We also use X-ray imaging to inspect the BGA graphics processor, allowing us to verify correct placement and solder-ball integrity without pulling the assembly apart again. This helps ensure the repair has been carried out correctly and reduces the risk of further PCB damage.
