In some clusters, we’ve observed backlighting failures caused not by the LEDs themselves,

but by a failed processor output inside the instrument cluster.

Interestingly, the manufacturers have designed these systems so the illumination signal enters the cluster as a digital high/low input, which is then processed before driving the LEDs. When the processor output fails, it can’t complete the circuit, even though the input signal is perfectly fine.

To resolve this, we’ve developed an in-house control solution:
We intercept the input signal and re-route it through our own custom circuitry to directly switch the LED lighting—bypassing the failed internal processor output entirely.

This allows us to restore full illumination function without replacing the entire module, keeping your original cluster intact and saving on unnecessary costs.
