ISM – Data Extraction & Transfer

Part: A164 445 07 10 (722.9 Transmission)

The ISM (Intelligent Servo Module) is the small “robot” mounted to the 722.9 transmission that physically selects the gears based on the selector lever input. These units are well-known for internal failures, corrosion, or communication faults — often leaving the vehicle stuck in Park or unable to select gears.

At Get Electronic, we specialise in full data extraction and transfer from these ISM units.
If your original module has failed, we can:

  • Recover the coding/data from the damaged ISM

  • Transfer (clone) the data into a suitable replacement module

  • Restore the vehicle’s ability to shift without requiring dealer-level programming

This service is ideal when the original unit is too damaged for OBD programming or is no longer responding on the CAN bus.
